The Ace 1200 range includes fixed-roof and pop-top models, with layouts designed around different ways of using the rear of the campervan. The RL and RLT use a rear parallel lounge, the GL and GLT have a high-level transverse double bed above the garage, while the SL and SLT use high-level longitudinal single beds with storage beneath.
The pop-top versions add a second double bed in the elevating roof, allowing four people to sleep in the campervan without changing the main interior arrangement. The range also includes the RB, together with the newer GS and GST models.

The biggest difference between the Ace 1200 models is what happens at the rear of the campervan. The RL and RLT have a rear parallel lounge, giving you a dedicated seating area that converts for sleeping. The GL and GLT take a different approach, with a high-level transverse double bed positioned above the garage storage area.
The SL and SLT replace the transverse bed with high-level longitudinal singles, again positioned above a rear garage. If you need four berths, the RLT, GLT and SLT add an elevating roof with a second double bed, while retaining the underlying layout of the corresponding fixed-roof model.

The Ace 1200 packs a surprising amount into a panel van. Even the fixed-roof models provide a proper washroom with shower facilities, an 80-litre compressor fridge, microwave and two-burner hob, while Whale underfloor heating with blown-air distribution is fitted for colder-weather use.
Storage has also been considered differently according to the layout. The GL/GLT provide a garage beneath the transverse double bed, while the SL/SLT use the space beneath their longitudinal single beds. Buyers wanting additional sleeping accommodation can then choose one of the pop-top variants rather than moving to a larger coachbuilt motorhome.
