Bailey Motorhomes

Used Bailey Motorhomes for Sale

Bailey is a well-established British motorhome manufacturer, with ranges such as Autograph, Adamo and Approach appearing regularly on the used market. One of the advantages of buying used is the choice this creates, particularly if you’re looking for a layout or model that is no longer part of the current Bailey line-up.

Specifications can vary considerably between ranges and model years. Bed configuration, travelling seats, payload, storage and overall length are all worth comparing, rather than choosing on berth number alone. Bailey’s model names can also continue across several seasons, so two motorhomes with similar badges aren’t necessarily identical in specification.

Why Buy a Used Bailey Motorhome?

Bailey introduced its Alu-Tech construction system to its motorhome ranges, using an interlocking aluminium framework rather than relying on a traditional timber-framed body. It became an important part of Bailey’s motorhome construction and is something buyers are likely to encounter across many models on the used market.

Construction is only one part of assessing a pre-owned motorhome, though. The condition and history of the individual vehicle matter just as much as the badge on the front. Habitation and servicing records are worth checking, along with the operation of the heating, hot water, fridge, electrical system and other habitation equipment.

It’s also important to check the exact specification of the model you’re considering. Payload can differ between layouts and model years, while extras fitted to a motorhome will add weight. If you’re comparing two apparently similar Bailey models, check the actual vehicle specifications rather than assuming they are the same.

    Choosing the Right Used Bailey

A Bailey that works well for one buyer may be completely wrong for another, and the floorplan is usually the best place to start.

Some Bailey models use a front lounge that converts into the main bed, keeping the rest of the motorhome relatively open during the day. Others provide fixed rear beds, including island bed and twin single arrangements, while larger models can add additional travelling seats and sleeping accommodation.

Think about how much time you want to spend making up beds, how much external and internal storage you need, and whether rear travelling seats are actually required. Overall length is worth considering too. A larger motorhome can provide more living space, but that doesn’t automatically make it the better choice if most trips only involve two people.

Buying a Used Bailey from Emm-Bee

Emm-Bee has been selling motorhomes since 1984 and has considerable experience with Bailey models from different generations. That becomes particularly useful with pre-owned vehicles, where equipment, layouts and specifications can differ from one model year to another.

Used motorhomes are checked before sale, and individual vehicle details can be discussed when you enquire or visit the dealership. Part exchange and finance options are also available.
